The code for the right of way used  – rail, street, catenary, etc.

This is one place where the program is case sensitive.  The codes which determine the roadbed which is displayed under the vehicles are composed of two letters and/or numbers. The first character sets for the roadbed type and the second modifies the first.

The codes for the first character are:

a b u
A B U
r
R
0
1
2
3
4
5
q
Q
g
G
j
J
k
K

h H

The Transrapid track will be extended downwards (to pylons will grow downwards) to fill the whole space define by the BELOW=; parameter / $BELOW command.

X        nothing, no roadbed appears under the vehicle

The codes for the second character have the following meanings:

Nothing no catenary.
e E v V a simple catenary 58 pixels over the rails.
m M s S third rail.
I L+Num catenary at a height less than 58 pixels.  The number determines the height, for example, L53 = catenary at a height of 53 pixel s.
f F Catenary of the Budapest Millennium Railroad (FAV) at 31 pixel height.

A few useful extra abbreviations are:

t Trolleybus, one pixel thick street with an overhead wire
T Trolleybus, two pixel thick street with an overhead wire
e v Rail, 1 pixel thick roadbed + overhead wire
E V Rail, 2 pixel thick roadbed + overhead wire
f Rail, 1 pixel thick roadbed + FAV overhead wire
F Rail, 2 pixel thick roadbed + FAV overhead wire
m s Rail, 1 pixel thick roadbed + third rail
M S Rail, 2 pixel thick roadbed + third rail

The code X can be used to negate a default code which is specified in the Stock List.  This can be useful when you want to change the depiction of the right of way by using your own roadbed picture as a FG= or BG= parameter.
