JTraffic Screensaver

Overview

The Configuration Window is customarily accessed by way of the Windows Start Menu.  The installation program places three icons into a Start Menu item named Traffic Screensaver. If for some reason the entry Traffic Screensaver | Configuration is missing from the Windows Start Menu, then the Configuration Window can be accessed manually by using the /t switch, like so:\
\
Click on Start | Run and enter " C:\Program Files\Traffic\Traffic.exe /t". Naturally the path " C:\Program Files\Traffic" is relevant only if you have installed Traffic into that directory.  If you have installed the program elsewhere, then please enter the correct path to reach the Traffic.exe file.\
\
The Configuration Window is the gateway to all of the basic features and functions of the Traffic screensaver.  It is the springboard for the user who wishes to create their own Timetable files or who wishes to add his/her own vehicles, or those available as add on modules, to the program.   Consequently, the Configuration Window is used to access all of the main editing interfaces of the program.\
\
The following sections are available in the Configuration Window in separate tabs:\
  • The Main Menu with its various individual operational items and parameters
  • Defaults for working with  Files and some Functions in the Tab labelled "File"
  • Settings and defaults for testing the files on the Full Screen in the Tab labelled "Full Screen"
  • Settings and defaults for testing the files in a Window in the Tab labelled "Window"

Naturally the main Configuration Window also has the controls for accessing help, information, as well as closing the program:

Info - displays the information about the current version in use, the author as well as others who are engaged in the development of the program.  The window also includes a list of all of the authors whose pictures appear in the Stock List.

Help - opens the help file index.

End - closes the configuration file and quits the program.
