The [EC: ] command can be used when more identical pantographs are shown in the original picture—one raised and the others lowered.  The command [EC: ] creates "jumping" movements for a single pantograph.  The coordinates <FromX>, <Y> are used to denote a raised pantograph's position - from this place will be the raised state got - and the coordinates <ToX>, <Y> for the pantograph in lowered state, which will be defined now. The rectangular areas have the size <W>, <H>.

If the <ToX> parameter is not specified Traffic will create a symmetrical position of the pantographs and determines the positions of the lowered pantograph accordingly - but this is untypical for this modifier, as in that case you will use the [EX: ] modifier instead, defining both pantographs in a single modifier.

The commands [EC: ], [ED: ], [EDC: ], [EU: ], [EX: ], [EM: ], [EMC: ], [EMX: ] as well as the use of the _SAR pictures in the form <BasePicture> < <_SAR_Picture>  are only intended to facilitate the use of base pictures which were not specifically drawn for the traffic program. The preferred method of depicting pantographs in Traffic is by way of a series of phase pictures (which should be grouped into a single image containing all of the portions of the animation) in order to create a fluid, animated motion.  The second best method is to depict both pantographs in their lowered state and to draw each pantograph's raised state as a separate graphic.
